Detailed program

Day 01: Flight to Antananarivo

Upon arrival in Antananarivo, meet our team and transfer from the airport to your hotel after all formalities, money changes
Spend the night at hotel in Antananarivo.

Day 02: Antananarivo - Andasibe

You will be picked up from your hotel and head for the rainforest of Andasibe. Along the way, you will drive through the central highland, a hilly region with red land villages and patchwork of rice fields. Then you will stop at Madagascar Exotic Park to get a glimpse of Madagascar unique wildlife. As you penetrate into a lush and luxuriant eastern forest, you will reach Andasibe National Park, the nearest park to the capital city. In the evening you will have a night walk where you may meet the smallest lemur and other nocturnal species like Avahy, another nocturnal lemur, bird, and chameleon.

Day 03: Andasibe national park

The wailing sound of the biggest lemur called Indri-Indri echoed throughout the forest and its vicinity will wake you up early morning. Lemur is one of the highlights of Madagascar in the world and Indri-Indri is the highlight of this park. After breakfast, you set out for a full day of adventure in the rainforest. To start you will have a hike to learn about the plants, animals and people of Bezanozano, one ethnic group who lives in this rainforest. You will discover medicinal uses for the rainforest’s many plant species seek for small species of frog and keep your eyes open for primates high in the forest canopy. This park spreads over..... And homes a rich and vibrant wildlife unique in the world. In the afternoon you will visit Vakona reserve with the Lemurs Island and crocodile park.

Day 04: Andasibe - Akanin'ny nofy

After the breakfast, you will depart for Akanin’ny nofy or the nest of dream. As you slope down to the east coast, You will learn about the local’s architecture, see their farming activities, their lifestyle, discover plants in the rainforest that are used for building material, craft and medicine. Then you will drive through Brickaville known for its sugar cane plantation then take a muddy road to Manambato where the boat await you. The boat crossing to Akanin`ny Nofy takes two hour on the Pangalanes canal along the man-made lakes of Rasoabe and Rasoa Masay.

Days 05 : Akanin'ny nofy

Either sporty or relaxed place, today you can have both of them. Akanin`ny Nofy is a place where any dream comes true for nature lovers. This day is dedicated to explore the reserve where is nestled on the shores of Pangalanes canal and the Indian Ocean. It spreads over 50 hectares of peninsula land in the Lake Ampitabe on the East coast of Madagascar. Its private park offers an opportunity to get close to lemurs while walking around then chilling out along the beach. Mamy species of lemurs can be spotted easily here such as the biggest lemur: Indri Indri, the dancing lemur, Sifaka, the Aye-Aye an elusive nocturnal lemur, black and white ruffed lemur. Both amateur and professional of photography will be rewarded with the reserve`s rare and endemic terrestrial and arboreal fauna like bird, Giant hognosed snake and a magnificent flora like orchids, carnivorous plants, ebony, mahogany, traveler's trees, same rarest varieties of palm trees; Dypsis, Ravinala, Orania.
In afternoon, you can stay on the beach or visit a small village along Pangalane canal.

Day 06: Akanin'ny nofy - Toamasina - Mahambo

After breakfast, Transfer by boat to Toamasina, on the way you will see the daily chores of local people who live along the canal. You will come across fishermen, women laundering on the sandbanks and local boat loaded with food commodities, cloves, cinnamon and people. Morning traffic is more active than the rest of the day. Arrive in our first economic port of Madagascar around lunch time. Continue to north –east until Mahambo. As you get close to the Indian Ocean, the temperature and the weather is more balmy. You will pass by native traveler palm and wooden villages with coconut trees. Landscape is wide open full of lush vegetation and the sea on the horizon.

Day 07: Mahambo - Sainte Marie

Morning fresh air along the sandy beach of the cost, transferred to St Marie Island by boat. Enjoy the remainder of your day at leisure. Transfer to your hotel and the rest relax day

Day 08: Sainte Marie

St Marie Island is a quite beach resort with lot of optional activities available, like deep sea fishing, snorkeling, canoeing or you can stroll along the beach or ride a bike for an island tour.
For additional information, between July to September you can do a humpback whale watching excursion.

Day 09: Sainte marie - Antananarivo

Fly back to Antananarivo. If time allows, city tour include handicraft market.

Day 10: Antananarivo - Fligt to your country

Morondava is a quiet, easy going beach fronted town. Relax or active stay. No set program. However many optional activities are available fisherman village excursion, city tour to look the local life of the region.
